Luke got some muscle building time mowing the lawn,
and Alani washed the car!
Later in the evening, I got into my pj's kind of early to get comfy and we drove to pick up our daughter at a friend's house who had a bonfire. So I wore my new bunny slippers! Ha ha!
My sister brought them over the last time I was sick and I think they're so cute. But don't worry, my husband went to the door to get her! Sunday morning I got up early, like I do almost every Sunday morning, to make a funner-than-usual breakfast. Like multi-grain blueberry pancakes! Mmmm!
(My pancakes never turn out perfectly round) And how about some bacon?
Can't forget the oatmeal with walnuts and cranberries.
I squeezed some orange juice and made coffee too but didn't take photos of that. Hee hee! We got nice and full before heading to church. I think we ran some boring errands after that and then just relaxed the rest of the day at home. I hope your weekend was great and that your work week isn't too stressful! If it is, you can always head on over here to my little blog for some funny pictures and uplifting words! Blessings to you, Taniya
<3 Cute bun-bun slippers!
ReplyDeleteHow nice of your sister to have brought you the cute, fuzzy slippers. And, I hear she makes a tasty Get Well soup to boot.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of food - how about you come out to the little farm sometime and cook for us. Mmmmmm!
Those pictures of your Sunday breakfast made me want some. Pancakes are a rare thing around here and the bacon even rarer, Once in a while it sure is good. Your family must really look forward to Sunday morning and being well fortified for church goin.
For all of you I will cook corn fritters
ReplyDeleteEverybody likes 'em even the critters
Corn fritters are light not heavy
One time I ate some inside a Chevy
Which was better than eatin 'em on the levy
Eat'm with ketchup, eat'm with Karo
Eat'm anyway you care to
Blessings to you too,
J. F.
It sure is good to see youngsters getting some work done these days.
ReplyDeleteRollin up their sleeves( or not having any )
Runnin the lawn mower for not even a penny
Rollin, runnin, washin, and workin along
Their pay is not so much as a song
Cleaning, mowing, cars they scrub
In the morning they give the pets their grub
When Saturday night comes they get into the
tub
